The
Department of Forest Management provides the education
and research concerning on the management and projects
planning of Thailand’s forests. In addition, there are
various subjects such as; the principle of forest resources
management, forest mensuration, forest economic, photogrammetry
& photo interpretation, which have been an efficient
management and planning of the forests. Moreover, the
department is offering the subject of social forestry,
where it has been focusing on people participation and
the local wisdom in the society. The forest planning and
management need to consider several dimensions for maintenance
of equilibrium on tangible and intangible forest values,
as to be a sustainable way. |

Currently, the Department of Forest Management offers
undergraduate (B.Sc.), graduate (M.Sc.), and doctorate
(Ph.D.) curriculum, with the development of 6 majors.
These are: Forest Policy and Administration, Forest
Biometry, Remote sensing, Forest Economic, Geographic
Information System, Social Forestry and Forest Extension.
Besides, a minor subject has been offering the parallel
curriculum, which is combined Social Forestry, Faculty
of Forestry, together with Sociology & Anthropology,
Faculty of Social Science (5-year-curriculum). The
graduate curriculum of social forestry is presently
